A book about the fear of wolves, based on a well-known French children’s song.
Children love to play at frightening themselves. It’s a release and it also allows them to come to terms with their fears.
It’s on the last page that the story reveals its full meaning.
On the back cover the photo of the wolf (with his coat, his shirt, his tie, his shorts etc.) is very important. It’s the proof that the wolf really exists.
On all the pages showing the forest, including the title page, the wolf is present and visible.
But on the endpapers, he’s so well hidden that you can’t see him.
